Macklemore's performance at Seattle's EMP Museum's "Spectacle: The Music Video" event left many of his loyal fans in utter shock, as many people believed his show was a prime example of anti-Semitism.  Instead of taking the stage in regular attire, Macklemore donned a very large prosthetic nose, along with a thick beard and wig, which led to many people believing he was attempting to portray the stereotypical appearance of a Jewish man.

He received loads of backlash from fans for his costume choice, including an unsupportive response from Seth Rogen on Twitter.  Macklemore is very aware of the criticism over his May 16 performance, and took to Twitter to issue a brief defense for his concert attire.  According to Macklemore, he intended to wear a "random costume," and was in no way trying to stereotype anybody.

Check out his response to the backlash above.
