Lil Boosie sat down with Complex, where he opened up about the current state of rap that he's been hearing since being released from prison. Describing it as "weak," the Louisiana rapper explains that the message in new music doesn't compare to the deep message that he carries in his music.

Speaking about Southern rap, Boosie says that when people hear music from the region they may think that people are balling out of control, but he says more people are struggling than balling. He adds that he aims to shed light on the struggling masses in his new music.
