Dirt Nasty spoke with VladTV about the growing presence of openly gay rappers in Hip-Hop ever since Macklemore released his pro-gay hit song, "Same Love."  He began by addressing Macklemore's decision to release a song that so heavily focused on supporting gay equality, and how his courage earned him Grammy recognition.  Dirt Nasty wasn't at all surprised that Macklemore won four Grammys, because he feels as though it is custom for award shows to honor those who touch on certain topics such as slavery or gay equality.

The former MTV VJ went on to discuss the emergence of openly gay rappers such as Fly Young Red, and how this marks a pivotal point in our nation's history where honesty regarding one's sexuality is much more accepted.
