Nas visited the Bill Maher Show and talked about the 20th anniversary of Illmatic, mistakes he's made in the past and his "Black Republican" track with Jay-Z.

"Its philosophical or even jazz," he said about his album. "It's a combo of street realities and rebelliousness and melodies."

He also talked about being a legend in Hip Hop and maintaining his relevance in the a pop-filled world. "I'm really excited to keep my career going," he said. "If I could stay number 5 (in regards to being named the number five best rapper of all time) in anybody's list in the mainstream, since I'm not mainstream but if they can see me in that top list I'm good money."
