In this throwback clip from 92.3 The Beat's DJ Julio G, Shyne reveals how he ended up working with Jamaican reggae artist Barrington Levy.

The Brooklyn emcee said it was all because of his West Indian heritage.

"I group up in Flatbush, in Brooklyn ... that's like a West Indian community ... and Barrington Levy is like a legend," Shyne explained. "I hollered at him, and he was with it so we made it happen."
