G-Eazy is the latest Internet sensation to gain widespread recognition due to his consistent work ethic and focus on improving his craft.

It's hard to miss the fact that he is a White rapper with a unique visual style that many have already begun comparing to that of Macklemore.  While their actual lyrical styles are very different, as well as the content that they rap about, the fact that they are so similar in appearance is what has drawn the public to compare the two.  G-Eazy spoke with VladTV about those comparisons, among a variety of other topics in this exclusive interview.

He began by addressing the comparisons people have made between him and Macklemore, before discussing Macklemore's Grammy wins.  G-Eazy stated that people shouldn't have been surprised that he won "Best Rap Album," based off of his appearance alone and the content that he rapped about.  He went on to touch on Lord Jamar's comments about White rappers being "guests in the house of Hip-Hop," and how he believes that there is "validity" to Lord Jamar's statements.

G-Eazy also shared his views on how the Internet has opened up the eyes of the general public to many different sub-cultures within certain artistic genres and how it is possible for people to come up from nothing and grind hard enough in order to gain acceptance from the masses.  He concluded by addressing the interesting question of whether his style of rap and physical appearance would have gained the same recognition from the Hip-Hop culture if he came up twenty years ago.
