Rising Battle Rapper Jay Rell sat down with VladTV Battle Rap Journalist Michael Hughes to discuss his role on the upcoming season of BET's 106 & Park Smack/URL Ultimate Freestyle Friday (UFF).  Jay explained that he was actually selected to compete as an alternate for the first season of the UFF, but didn't get a chance to make it on the show so now he's back ready to put in work and share his lyrical talents with the world.

Jay Rell then described his experience with Battle Rap expanding over many years; ever since his first battle occurred in middle school.

Jay addressed the hot topic of PG battlers being compared to the more widely known veterans, and he believes that "90% of the vets don't have anything left to say."  He doesn't think that the new PG class needs the vets in order to succeed.  Jay later compared himself to Charlie Clips and believes that "me and Clips are similar, but I'm better."  He also threw shots at DNA by stating that he won't battle him because he thinks DNA is dirty.
