Junior Welterweight World Champion Danny Garcia has been working extremely hard preparing for his March 15th clash vs Mauricio Herrera at the Ruben Rodriguez Coliseum in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. He recently sat down for an exclusive interview with VladTV journalist Michael Hughes to discuss his next opponent.

Danny broke down what goes into a full day of training when he is preparing for his fights, and how his training sessions often last up to four hours per day.  He spoke on the importance of this fight being in Puerto Rico, as he will be stepping into the ring hoping to represent his Puerto Rican heritage with pride and earn a victory in front of his people.

Danny also addressed why he chose Herrera as his next opponent, despite some critics saying this is a step down in competition from his most recent electrifying fight vs the hard-hitting Lucas Matthysse.  Danny comes from a strong Amateur background, as he held a very impressive record of 107-13 in his Amateur career, and he stressed the importance of building experience in the Amateur ranks before making the transition to professional fights.  He went on to detail his mental state when preparing for fights, and how it is his job have a "kill or be killed" mentality because his opponents are always going to do what they can to harm him in the same way.

His fight vs Mauricio Herrera will take place on Showtime PPV on March 15th in Puerto Rico.  Be sure to tune in as this clash is sure to be crowd pleasing full of hard punches being exchanged and even potential vicious KO's.
