During a sit down with Complex Music, Cyhi Da Prynce opened up about the inspiration behind his sixth mixtape, "Black Hystori Project." The Georgia rapper reveals it was all because of his nephew.

"My nephew wanted to do a Black History project on me," he explains. "His teachers told him I wasn't monumental enough -- I wasn't that important to do a Black History project on."

Cyhi basically saw that as a challenge and decided to do his own Black Hystori Project.

He goes on to reveal that Martin Luther King Jr.'s father married his parents, and said he's been instrumental in the upbringing of himself and his community.

"Black Hystori Month" was executive produced by Kanye West, and Cyhi says 'Ye taught him how to be truthful and be himself.
