The always outspoken Lord Jamar sat down with VladTV to discuss the controversy surrounding the now cancelled George Zimmerman celebrity boxing match. To begin, Lord Jamar stated flat-out that he thinks the entire idea even becoming a possibility is "bullsh*t." He spoke on DMX being plugged to fight Zimmerman, and while he would love to see X beat George up, Jamar feels as though it is a twisted misrepresentation of our country to even come close to acknowledging this man as a "celebrity."
Jamar stated that the root word for celebrity is to "celebrate," and it would be a shame to glorify a man, and pay him for entertainment, after he became known to the world by shooting and killing an unarmed teenager. Lord Jamar also feels as though offering Zimmerman money to throw hands in front of the public is also a joke because he wound up shooting and killing 17-year-old Trayvon Martin after Martin beat him down in a knuckle-to-knuckle altercation. Jamar would love to lay a beat-down on Zimmerman, and stated that he would "MMA his f*ckin' a*s," if he ever runs into him.
