Ab-Soul recently sat down with Bootleg Kev, where he explained what he meant when he said he would leave Black Hippy over XXL cover when Black Hippy were billed as "Kendrick Lamar & Black Hippy." He gave all media outlets a warning in the interview, saying "That wasn't exactly directed at XXL. That's everybody. That was for all blogs, all social media, all media outlets. A lot of them are printing it like that and that's not the name of the group."
Soul recognized Kendrick's talent and his star power right now, but felt that they could've included other Black Hippy member's names on the cover. Check out his full explanation in the above slide:
