Jay-Z's "The Black Album" was a huge deal when it dropped. It was supposed to be his final album, so expectations were high. While it didn't end up being Hov's last effort, it did end up being a classic.

Pharrell was one of the producers on "The Black Album," and witnessed the greatness that went into it. He recently sat down with Life + Times and discussed the cultural importance of that album.
