Stephen A. Smith gave great praise to Jay Z and spoke up in his defense amid backlash regarding Jay's recent interview with 'Vanity Fair,' in which he tapped into his drug dealing past to explain how life as a former hustler helped prepare him for being a sports agent.  Stephen A. went so far as to state that he believes Jay Z's story is "One of the greatest American stories in our nation's history," when considering how Jay Z completely turned his life around, coming from Marcy Projects in Brooklyn, to becoming one of the most successful businessmen in the world.
