Papoose sat down for an exclusive interview with VladTV to address a few topics, and given that he follows and supports Battle Rap and has been present at past Smack/URL events such as NOME 3, it's only right that we got him to speak his mind on the power of Battle Rap within Hip-Hop.  Papoose began by addressing the stigma battle rappers face that they can't make good music and succeed in the mainstream music industry.  On the contrary, Pap feels as though battlers are "the real rappers ... the real spitters," and that the industry has cast a shadow over them to keep the real lyricists out of the mainstream.

Papoose agreed with Lupe Fiasco, who stated on Twitter that the best rappers are battle rappers, and he compared himself to fellow lyricists whose actual lyrics keep them from achieving mainstream success for some reason.

He also spoke on his own "Versace" remix and shared his thoughts on Drake's "Versace" remix as well.  Papoose also said due to himself, Drake, and Kevin Durant being fans of the genre, he feels as though everyone is a fan of battle rap.
