Someone present at Smack/URL's Summer Madness 3 event managed to capture the fight between Math Hoffa and Serius Jones on their cell phone. The video clearly shows Math punching Serius cleanly in the face after Serius yelled "Wooo." To clarify any confusion regarding whether or not Math punched Serius while he was looking at him or not, the video shows that Math punched Serius while he was looking right at him. Serius wasn't looking at the crowd or the women he brought on stage, although he was looking at one of his girls right beforehand.
Regardless of that fact, Serius did little to warrant being swung on, as it is very common for battlers to talk, make noises, or even touch the other battler during their round. You can clearly see Serius' legs become extremely shaky after the hit, as if he was knocked out on his feet, and Math comes at him and puts both hands around his neck and pushes him back. It's obvious that Serius was in no way prepared for any type of violence to occur, which is also why he was so rocked by the punch. Still he remained on his feet for a bit longer.
After this, Serius tried to grab Math and also swung back after Math pushed him, but it's too hard to see Serius throw his two punches back at Hoffa as the people on the stage got in the way. Serius was clearly put down on the floor after swinging back at Math. He may have gotten hit once more while moving backward, or he just got pushed down, but it's too hard to tell. Math didn't appear to hit Serius while he was laying on the stage floor, and despite what many said he clearly was not knocked out. Serius managed to rise to his feet on his own without the assistance of anyone. The footage was recorded too far away to see if his mouth was bleeding like people had rumored about or if that was all false claims in general.
