Despite the cassette falling out production years ago, the old format is back. Prison inmate goods shipping company Sendapackage.com has linked with Universal to release classic albums on cassette for all the incarcerated fans to listen to.
The company released a statement which reads, "Sendapackage.com has signed a deal with Universal Records and now offers exclusive cassettes with hip hop classics from the Notorious B.I.G., 50 Cent, Jay-Z, Young Jeezy, and more. The owner of the company wanted to make sure that inmates are able to enjoy music and get everything that they need. The exclusive deal with Universal and Sendapackage is a huge deal! Universal even had to reissue the art work because the company hasn't made cassettes in years."
Sendapackage.com also ships food, electronics, toiletries, magazines and a whole bunch of other miscellaneous items.
