Cornel West Upset Over MLK Bible Used For Obama Inauguration

Dr. Cornel West was fairly upset at the fact that President Barack Obama was given Martin Luther King Jr.'s bible to be sworn into office again at his inauguration. He spoke freely and in great detail at George Washington University about why he had a problem with MLK Jr.'s bible being used during an open political discussion.

Is this nigga serious? Didnt Martin Luther King die for racial equality? Isn't Barack Obamas Presidency the epitome of what MLK stood for? A black President even in this modern day age where racism still is prevalent? A time where this Uncle Tom Nigga can walk around w/ an unkempt Afro?GTFOH. I always thought he was a joke albeit his DR title. I'm offended at his tap dancing in front of Gengrich and the rest. How dare you? The symbolism of the first black president being innnaugurated on the day that we as a nation celebrated MLK day was lost on this fool. This was the epitome of MLKs dream. He didnt die so u could walk around w/ a fucked up looking Afro.

They could've got Cornel to play Samuel Jackson's part in Django... They only have him up there because he's speaking against Obama. Notice how quiet it got when he mentioned Bush. All the clapping stopped.

In the end... its just a bible not the holy grail im sure mlk`s spirit isnt in the book, would you be offended if the gun to kill mlk was used to kill someone else? its only a big deal if you make it one his memory and what he did is what counts

This guys acting like MLK was God or something... MLK was an incredible man, no doubt about that but like all of us he was flawed... I don't need to go into the freaky sexcapades of his legend.

No. Brother Obama is the first bi-racial president. And MLK would not approve flying drones over other countries assuming innocent lives in the process. Dr. West is just stating his opinion of which I believe to be true. But who am I? Just a hard-working man providing for his family, and enjoys calling in air support on COD BO2 in my free time. So maybe I can't voice my opinion either...

His wife is black. His kids are black. He is black. U ask a white man what Barak is. Most of us have mixed heritage somewhere in our bloodline. And what's true about his opinion? He's talking about Martins bible like its the holy grail. If its so precious then why isn't it in a museum. And lets not forget, the bible was given by the king family. That shows u right there what they think of it and how they feel MLK would've felt about it. Cornball West is just jealous because he can never run for pres while he's walking around looking like a Snaggle toothed wolf man. He needs to go sit down somewhere.
