Spike Lee Calls Django Unchained Disrespectful, Won't See It

Quentin Tarantino's new film "Django Unchained" has received plenty of criticism, basically since the first trailer was released. VibeTV sat down with Spike Lee recently to discuss the controversial new movie, which Spike says he absolutely won't be seeing.

"I can't speak on it cause I'm not gunna see it," Spike told VibeTV. "All I'm going to say is that it's disrespectful to my ancestors. That's just me...I'm not speaking on behalf of anybody else."

Roots is a about alex halley family tree. He tracked his roots all the way back to africa and did a movie about it. That's was a good series I seen all the tapes lol. Django looks like some old coonish bullshit but ima go see it cuz its entertainment. I know what this country is about and they know black people don't care about they past or self empowerment as a people nomore. All we care about is everything that vlad, thisis50 , worldstar, mediatakeout has to offer us. I feel bad when I think about black people in this country. I would love to see a NAT TURNER movie that's some real gangsta shit right there. That would have niggas thinking again. THEY DON'T WANT THAT THO. They want us to talk about big booty hoes jordans foams rapping and doing drugs.

u niggas really don't no spike do u?? he was one of the main ones out there protesting when rap started to take a turn for the worse but see this is what the powers that be do..they fade out blacks before your time so u won't have no clue of the contributions they have made and rob u of your history of a strong brotha that was before your time so u won't have a sense of history to draw on or look up to..but they keep whites in ya face long after they are gone so white can have a sense of where they come from they have been doin this since slavery came to this country because a uneducated man is a easy man to control.
