URL Battlers Say Meek Mill Doesn't Want That Work, Only Promo

Page31.com was live at the recently shut down Smack/URL Armageddon event, and spoke to numerous URL battle rappers about their thoughts on Meek Mill actually wanting to step in the ring, as well as mainstream rappers in general lacking the heart and skill to step up and battle them. Dizaster, DNA, Calicoe, Math Hoffa, Young Ill, X Factor, Tsu Surf, Conceited, and even Mr. Smack White himself all provided their insight on the topic.

They all for the most part feel as though it would be beneficial for hip-hop as a whole to have mainstream rappers step in the ring with them, although they all pretty much share the same point of view, in that mainstream rappers can't do what they do with the same level of skill and execution when it comes to battling in front of a live crowd.

Do you think mainstream rappers would get eaten alive if they stepped in the battle ring, the same way Canibus got Ethered by Dizaster?

this is the shit that i love.been waitin for this rap thing to return to the rightful gate keepers of this art form. the shit those corporations are pumpin i don't know what the fuck they call that but it damn sho ain't hip hop.

The battle rap scenes GETTING BIGGER! It's increased over 75% in the last 3 months, it's becoming the most lucrative business in rap besides show money. The next five years we'll see alot of great things from it. Anyway with the Meek situation, alot of people including fans lost respect for him after that. He's become arragont as shit since he signed, he was never that hot in Philly, Joey Jihad, Ar-ab and 100s of other dudes where better then him. He just got lucky. He only better 3 people his entire time and he lost two battles. He wouldn't be able to handle it in the battling leauge. He was just running his mouth not thinking people would stand up to him. Now he's in a situation where his album didnt do the numbers it should AT ALL, his boss has just pulled his camp out of their TOUR and there falling off at some serious pace. So jokes on you Meek.

dam this battle shit is only gettings so big....this is a whos who of the battle rap culture and nobody gives a fuck about it. i dont think meek would be that great in url. he wasnt all that vs nagros or whoever that dude was. cas would be great in this new era with all his punchlines n shit.
