George Zimmerman Sues NBC Over Edited 911 Call Recording

George Zimmerman, the man who shot and killed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, has filed a lawsuit against NBC over the edited version of his 911 call that he made on the night that he killed Trayvon. Zimmerman feels as though their version of the tape makes him appear as though he is a "hostile racist", as the edited version of the tape makes it seem as though he racially profiled Trayvon almost immediately, when in actuality he only said that "he looks black" after the cop who he was talking to asked him about Trayvon's race.
NBC opened up their own internal investigation regarding the edited tape in the past, and issued an apology back in April for the misleading footage/audio they released. Zimmerman is accusing NBC as a whole of crafting a "false and defamatory misimpression using the oldest form of yellow journalism: manipulating Zimmerman's own words, splicing together disparate parts of the recording to create the illusion of statements that Zimmerman never actually made."
He's currently suing NBC for intentional infliction of emotional distress and defamation of character, although the exact financial number he is suing for has yet to be specified. In the end, you can clearly hear the officer on the phone with him tell Zimmerman not to follow Trayvon, yet George disregarded the officer, and followed him anyway, which is what ultimately lead to Trayvon's murder.
