Smack/URL: JC vs Chilla Jones (Bar-For-Bar Insanity)

Now this is a battle that truly deserved to be hosted on a big stage such as Summer Madness 2. Despite the fact that it wasn't put on a big stage, this "One Off" Smack/URL battle between Michigan's JC and Boston's Chilla Jones was pure insanity.

In terms of bars, these two MC's went in back-and-forth, bar-for-bar it was a close quarters toe-to-toe battle of pure lyrical talent. Both JC and Chilla Jones are recent graduates from the Smack/URL Proving Grounds, and they really put on an incredible battle performance to represent the Smack/URL battle league.

This battle is really hard to judge. Who do you think left with a "W" under their belt?

Just watched it again honestly Chilla edged all 3 rds. Listen hard don't JC just spits fast with some filla but Chilla giving that nigga that work.

Im starting to just skip to chilla verse. But Jc is dope though. Chilla bars are just more pure. Give the battle to chilla 2-1.

I do the same damn thing. Its like a boxing match. Sometimes a guy is just having a great night and his skill is just too much for you. You put on your best, and somehow he still edges you because he is just too pure at the craft. I just skip to Chilla since the third time I watched it which was the same day the battle dropped.

Classic! Watched it 2x and still can't call it. They definitely took it back to the essence with the small setting. The barbershops and record stores. That's where it started and where it needs to stay.

Absolute classic but it wouldn't have been the same results if it was on the big stage. A smaller setting is how this form of battle rapping was mad famous by the great murda mook. Thats why it was only right he was there. Shouts to chilla and jc for taking it back where it all started and influenced all the so called top tier battle rappers and thousands of others. Thanks Mook for showcasing you're talent which ended up giving us great entertainment today....

Damn right would not have been the same. Too many people to settle down after hearing these filthy bars. See what happened to Chilla against BMagic. Crowd took too long to settle down after he let off a bomb and he forgot his lines as a result.
