"It's not that I wanna be Snoop Dogg on a reggae track," explained Snoop. "I wanna bury Snoop Dogg and become Snoop Lion."
It looks like Long Beach rapper Snoop Dogg really has jumped headfirst into Rastafarianism. The rapper held a press conference to try and shed light on his decision--one which most people scoffed at as a weed gimmick.
"I thought I was going to make another gangsta record. I thought I was going to make another pimp album. I thought I was going to do what I do! But this called me and it put all of that to rest. Anytime the spirit calls you, you got to know that it's serious and it's real."
