Everyone who knows who Metta World Peace is aware of his troubled past.  He grew up in the harsh environment of Queensbridge, NY, and all of the violence and harsh living conditions he was exposed to really took a toll on him and caused him to grow up with serious anger problems.  These anger issues have been visible since he first entered the NBA.

Over the years, he has sought help from many different individuals, and he has become a better person because of it, despite his recent incident elbowing James Harden.  Metta World Peace really does care about the future generation, as he knows that many children/teenagers are growing up under the same conditions and experiencing the same types of harsh things that he went through in his life.

That is why he stopped by the Edward R. Roybal Center in Westlake, California, to speak to high school students about mental health and the benefits of seeking therapy, and also that there is no shame in seeking therapy. After he finished speaking and answering questions, many students spoke up about how he moved them with what he had to say and how they really could relate to his anger problems.

Great work, Metta World Peace.  Keep reaching out to the future generations, they could really use any guidance you have to offer them.
