While most were grieving for Hip Hop legend Chris Lighty, some were also questioning the likelihood of Lighty committing suicide. Now, almost a year after his death, Chris Lighty's mother is publicly expressing her doubt in the case and calling for a new investigation in a letter.

Her letter to AllHipHop reads, "Since my son's death last August, my family and I have been searching for answers to what really happened to my son and to date, none of the explanations given make sense. Our investigation has been stalled. Dr. Baden who was retained to do an independent autopsy has been unable to complete his task due to the lack of cooperation from the Medical Examiner's office. He was brought in to help determine if Darrell's death was homicide or suicide. It is almost a year later and we still don't have the answer. Today, I am begging, Mr. Johnson, the Bronx District Attorney, to make my son's death a priority and work with our investigator to really look into the facts and circumstances leading up to his untimely death. We have uncovered real information that needs to be followed up on by those in authority. I am attaching a link to an online petition that we will forward to the DA's office asking them to start a formal investigation. I am asking everyone interested in justice to please sign it. Thank you."

Other rappers, such as N.O.R.E., who was once managed by Lighty, have also come out questioning the idea that Lighty would commit suicide. His mother is not alone.

The internet almost exploded last week after a picture of Drake in a Dada short suit hit the web. Memes were pumped out at a rapid rate, making fun of Drake's suspect choice of clothing on the set of the "No New Friends" track.

On Monday, Drake addressed the meme-making by posting a couple himself on his Instagram page. One is of him and Rashad from T.I.'s 2006 acting debut "ATL," and the other is him playing soccer with the caption "FIFA God."

An interracial Virginia couple faced quite the surprise recently, when they came home from Walmart to find a policeman in front of their house. The officer was there to question them about whether or not they were the parents of their children.

Joseph and Keana, neither wanted their last names revealed, were enraged to find out that a Walmart security officer believed Joseph had kidnapped their three daughters.

"He asks us very sincerely, 'Hey, I was sent here by Walmart security. I just need to make sure that the children that you have are your own,'" Joseph explained.

Keana was especially hurt.

"I was dumfounded," she said. "I sat there for a minute and thought, 'Did he just ask us if there were our kids knowing what we went through to have our children?'"

Keana says the officer went on to tell her that a customer had been alarmed by her husband and kids.

"'Well, the customer was concerned because they saw the children with your husband and he didn't think that they fit," explained Keana. "And I said, 'What do you mean they don't fit?' And I was trying to get her to say it. And she says, 'Well, they just don't match up.'"

Walmart says they are looking into the incident.

Former MLB star Jose Canseco is currently under investigation in Las Vegas after an unidentified woman has come forward claiming that the 48-year-old former athlete raped her.  She claims that the incident occurred on May 10th, according to the police report.  Canseco took to his Twitter page and spoke out about the matter.

According to his tweet the woman is alleging that he drugged her and raped her.

While it had been previously reported that Tim Dog, a 90's rapper was believed to have died back in February from diabetes related problems, now a judge has issued a warrant for his arrest!  The judge apparently claimed that there is no proof that his death every really occurred.

It just so happened that Tim Dog's death came about after he was convicted of hustling multiple women out of large quantities of money which totaled out to be around $2 million.  Prosecutor Steven Jubera stated that unless they see proof that he really died then they won't believe the stories.

"I need proof.  I need a death certificate showing that he's dead because as far as I'm concerned, he's alive."

The arrest warrant will be negated if Tim Dog's family provide the court with the proof they're seeking regarding his now "alleged" death.

Chief Keef was arrested in DeKalb County, Georgia, yesterday for disorderly conduct, according to TMZ. He was allegedly smoking marijuana at a hotel.

After the arrest Keef, real name Keith Cozart, tweeted "Jus Got Out Of Dekalb County Jail In Atlanta Mad As f**k."

Cowboy's wide receiver Dez Bryant seems to be ousted as a cheater on Instagram after two different women were sharing photos with their "baby." A woman named Briana of Dallas, TX posted a picture of her and Bryant together on May 13th of her boo giving her a big kiss on the cheek.

Just a few days later another woman by the name of Ilyne posted an intimate snap of her and Dez on her Instagram page with a heartfelt message.

Waka Flocka has been hyping his "Flockaveli 2" project for months, and while he's said in the past that it will drop later this year, the Brick Squad spitter never revealed an exact date until now.

The rapper announced via Twitter on Tuesday that fans will be able to snatch up a copy of "Flockaveli 2" come October.

T'yanna Wallace, daughter of Biggie Smalls, is paying homage to her father by releasing a line of clothing called "Notoriouss." The line features several t-shirts and hats in several different styles. 

T'yanna and her brother C.J. are also reportedly in talks to start an animated series called "House of Wallace," in which they will fight to save their father's studio. The children recently spoke about their decision to do the show.

Bad Boy rapper King Los spits a memorable freestyle in between his interview that will leave you on the edge of your seat.

Justin Bieber is tired of stories going to the media about his wild house parties, and to put a stop to it he's making his house guests sign a contract promising not to blab. TMZ obtained the document, in which Justin states that guests will be sued for $5 million for putting photos online, or talking to the media about what goes on at his home. 

The Liability Waiver and Release warns that anyone caught talking about the "physical health, or the philosophical, spiritual or other views or characteristics" of Bieber or his guests will be sued. The form also warns of activities that will be "potentially hazardous and you should not participate unless you are medically able and properly trained."

Hip-hop lost an icon when Heavy D unexpectedly passed away in November 2011, but the pain was surely deeper for his 13-year-old daughter Xea. Now, it has been reported that the girl will inherit Heavy's entire estate including his pension, social security, and future royalties. 

Heavy's brother Floyd is seeking control of his entire estate, and their mother Eulahlee Myers told TMZ that the entire family is behind the decision. They believe that Floyd will protect the fortune until Xea is an adult. 

"Heavy's Estate needs to be managed. It cannot be self-managed or self-administered and it has to be Court approved. Open bills, unfinished business, taxes and day-to-day decisions including future plans for his daughter all need to be done. This management needs someone who is capable, smart, honest and close to this family."

She added, "The family all wanted Floyd as that person to represent Dwight's estate."

Eulahlee assured that everything would be going to Xea when she was old enough, "All of Heavy's assets are going to his 13-year-old Daughter Xea -- including his Social Security, Pension, and future Royalties. Lil Scrappy just failed a court-ordered drug test, and now the Atlanta rapper is heading off to drug rehab after claiming he's addicted to weed, according to TMZ.

Court officials revealed on Wednesday that a urine test Scrappy took last week came back positive for marijuana.

According to Scrappy's lawyer, Mawuli Mel Davis, the rapper will check into a rehab facility before the next court hearing in June. Davis also told TMZ that Scrappy says he's addicted to smoking marijuana.

NYPD detective Edwin Vargas was arrested Tuesday for allegedly spying on over 40 email accounts, partially to investigate his ex-girlfriend.

Vargas was questioned last month under the suspicion that he was stalking his ex-girlfriend, who he thought had cheated on him.

Vargas allegedly paid $4,000 for the services of an email hacking service, which gave him log in info to about 43 email accounts and access to about 30 cell phones. Of those 30, 19 were NYPD officers.

"When law enforcement breaks the laws they are sworn to uphold, they do a disservice to their fellow officers, to the department, and to the public they serve, and it will not be tolerated," said Manhattan U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara.

Vargas was officially charged with one count of conspiracy to commit computer hacking and one count of computer hacking. He's facing two years in prison.

The NYPD has reportedly suspended him with pay.

While out in Vegas filming "Think Like A Man 2" Gabrielle Union, La La Anthony, Taraji P. Henson, and Meagan Good all let loose during their downtime and snapped many sexy bikini pictures to document their fun together.  Things seemed to get a little flirtatious between the ladies, as they were seen in multiple pictures bending over in front of one another, or striking sexy poses, or acting as though they were about to kiss in one picture.

Eminem's publisher, Eight Mile Style, LLC, is suing social network giant Facebook over an ad they ran for the new "Facebook Home" app. The suit states that Facebook's ad company used Em's song "Under The Influence" without permission, prompting Eight Mile Style to send a cease and desist letter.

After the cease and desist, Facebook removed the song and changed the soundtrack to the ad, which Eight Mile Style says acknowledges that they infringed on Em's rights.

The publishing company is looking to grab no less than $150,000.

NBA Rookie of the Year Damian Lillard is currently under fire from two brothers in Oregon, claiming the Blazer's guard stood around as his entourage beat them up.

Lillard was allegedly walking to his car leaving the club in Portland early Saturday morning, when he became irritated over one of the brothers taking a picture.

"So I took a picture. And so Damian was upset that I took his picture, so when he turned around he's like, 'Did you just take my picture?'" said one of the Brothers. "And his entourage just turned around too and they're like 'did you just take a picture of Damian Lillard?' And I was like, 'Yeah I did.' And so I saw that he was clearly upset, they were upset, and I was like, 'Can I apologize to him? Like I'll go up right now and apologize to him.'"

Despite the brother's alleged attempt to negotiate, he says it all turned sour after only minutes. An all-out fight ensued, in which they were reportedly beaten badly. Police are currently investigating.

Surveillance video footage from Bogota, Colombia shows a man attempting to steal a woman's cell phone, only to be smacked by an oncoming bus seconds later.

The victim was nice enough to help the phone snatcher out from under the bus, and was able to get her phone back.
