Man Plucks Out Roommate's Eye In Psychiatric Hospital

Tyrone Shelton, 36, was arrested at the San Francisco General Hospital's psychiatric ward on his birthday last Thursday (4/26) for allegedly removing his 61-year-old roommate's eye during a fight over the radio being played too loudly. The fight actually took place on April 19th.
The two men were living at a nursing facility in the psych ward when the violence occurred. Because the victim's eye had swollen up so badly after being stabbed, it took authorities a while to notice that his eye was actually missing.
