Curren$y Details Lawsuit Against Damon Dash

Just two years ago Curren$y put on the diamond encrusted chain that formerly symbolized legendary status in hip-hop. He was supposed to be the man to bring back Roc-A-Fella records to that familiar greatness that the label was so accustomed to seeing. Fast forward to 2012 and all of that is a plan that will never come into fruition.

The New Orleans rapper is suing his former boss, music mogul Damon Dash, for allegedly gaining profits of his music from the album The Muscle Car Chronicles without permission.

The $1.5 million dollar lawsuit means more financial heartache for Dash, who has unfortunately fallen from grace right before our eyes.

Curren$y recently sat down with XXL magazine to touch his situation with Dame.

"I don't know what we gonna do, but when it's all said and done, I'll tell y'all about it," he said, before admitting he harbors no ill feelings despite the litigation. "Not ever disappointed. Any situation I ever been through I look at it as a lesson. Just learning something. "

"It's not something you should be disappointed from," Curren$y added. "It should be a opportunity for you to get some game. It's all good. I'm glad. I'm glad."

Well, Curren$y has been lucky enough to be affiliated with three of the most groundbreaking hip hop labels in No Limit, Cash Money/Young Money and Roc-a-fella, but unfortunately for him they didn't always work out for the best in his case.

Do you think he will win his legal battle against Dash? Will Dash or Curren$y ever see mainstream success again?
