Thanks to Jeff Bubeck, J. Dilla's mother, Maureen "Ma Dukes" Yancey, has come into possession of thousands of lost musical artifacts left behind by her son after his tragic death at the hands of the Lupus disease on February 10, 2006.

Jeff Bubeck owns a record store in Detroit, and while he was cleaning out a storage unit that he took control of recently, he stumbled upon an abundance of priceless J. Dilla artistic works.  Bubeck uncovered literally 7,000-8,000 records, notebooks, and other pieces of handwritten material, all created by the hands of the late music producer J. Dilla.

Dilla's mother, Maureen Yancey, was ecstatic when she was contacted by Bubeck with the news that he had uncovered all of these priceless possessions of her son's works.  Instead of taking all of the lost J. Dilla material to a media source to make a quick buck, Bubeck showed his honorable side by returning the possessions to his mother so she can reminisce about all of the great things her son accomplished before he passed away.
