Jadakiss: "My Mom Didn't Think I Could Grow My Hair"

Jadakiss has sparked many conversations ever since he first appeared with hair on his head after being clean-shaven for so long.
But 'Kiss has his own reasons for growing his hair out, citing that most people didn't think he could do it.
"One of my reasons for growing it was that a lot of people think my hair couldn't grow. Then I wanted to do a new look with a new album. The ladies say they like it. My mom said she likes it."
Even though his mom likes the LOX general's new look, she was still skeptical at times, 'Kiss says.
"My mom didn't think I could grow hair. I was like, 'ma, c'mon. What's wrong with you?' I had a bald head for so long, people think it was by force, not by choice. But we gonna switch it up".
Jada also cited the incarceration of a close friend as a reason to why he decided to grow his hair.
"Plus my right hand man is locked up: K Rosewood. He ain't here. That's one of my goals, besides keeping him on the dog tag, I got my hair."
