Even if you have never watched the VH1 hit series Basketball Wives, you've probably heard of Evelyn Lozada. She is the boisterous, outspoken and attention grabbing personality on the show. From bottle throwing, to hair pulling, table jumping, and threat making, Lozada is everywhere. Whenever there is a disagreement or conflict on the show more than likely Ev is a part of the drama in some shape or form. Hate her or love her, but reality TV has turned into a successful venture for her -- unfortunately at the expense of others. Now, many viewers have had enough and they are speaking out.
Viewers that take exception to Evelyn's consistently violent and bullying behavior have rallied together to boycott the reality star on change.org by signing a petition to bring a stop to her madness.
One petitioner, Alex M, describes the petition as,
"Evelyn Lozada is a bully. The violence on 'Basketball Wives' is horrible and disgraceful," Alex wrote in the petition. "This is not a hate petition against Eveyln Lozada. We simply will not support violence. It hurts to see violence amongst women on television for entertainment purposes. It is not OK for women to hit each other on TV."
Basketball Wive's rating has been through the roof, and Evelyn Lozada is probably to thank for that because of her frequent controversial behavior. Unfortunately, controversy and conflict makes for good TV, and it's been that way forever.
She is currently filming for the "Eve and Ocho" show, which will be a VH1 reality show with her fiancee, NFL star wide receiver Chad Ochocinco.
So far, the anti-Evelyn petition has over 1,000 signatures.
