Talk about timing.

Just five days before the 2012 NFL Draft, former Nebraska cornerback Alfonzo Dennard was arrested after he was involved in a fight at a bar in Lincoln, Nebraska, early Saturday morning.  Reports say it took four officers to take him into custody.

"It doesn't help the kid any," said Gil Brandt, a former player personnel director for the Dallas Cowboys and an NFL analyst.

Dennard was ejected from the 2012 Capital One Bowl for fighting with South Carolina wide receiver Alshon Jeffrey.

The NFL hopeful was a projected second-third round pick because of his feisty temperament and physical style, however, neither of which ever transpired off the field until the weekend.  The arrest is sure to drop his draft stock a little bit.
