Known as "America's Oldest Teenager" for his eternally youthful attitude, longtime producer and radio/television personality Dick Clark has passed away at the age of 82.

His lingering health issues over the past few years have been well known. The 82-year old suffered a "massive heart attack" and passed away this morning, according to his agent Paul Shefrin.

He was best known for landing a DJ gig in Philadelphia back in the 1950's, where he would play music on a show called "Dick Clark's Caravan of Music." He eventually made it big when he began hosting the popular teenage dance show "Bandstand". The show went on to capture worldwide fame and notoriety, resulting in the creation of "American Bandstand".

Mr. Clark leaves behind three children and a wife, Keri Wigton. The couple were married for nearly 35 years.

One of Clark's signature gestures was his patented farewell and salute in which he would say "For now, Dick Clark ... so long".

Farewell, Mr. Clark.
