It's been a long time coming - seven years to be exact - but official news just broke that Brad Pitt finally proposed to his long time love, Angelina Jolie.
Sparks began flying between the couple while on set filming "Mr. & Mrs. Smith", and it has been only positive steps forward for the two love birds since then. They have gone on to share the joy of raising six children together, and now after a long wait, Brad finally made that big move and asked Angelina for her hand in marriage.
News has come to light that a private jeweler named Robert Procop designed the engagement ring for Angelina under Brad's specific guidance. According to Mr. Procop, the ring was under development for over a year, and Brad Pitt was very involved in its design the entire time.
"Brad had a specific vision for this ring, which he realised over a yearlong collaboration. He wanted every aspect of it to be perfect, so I was able to locate a diamond of the finest quality and cut it to an exact custom size and shape to suit Angelina's hand. Brad was always heavily involved, overseeing every aspect of the creative design evolution. The side diamonds are specially cut to encircle her finger. Each diamond is of the highest gem quality."
A spokesperson representing Mr. Procop confirmed the news stating:
"I can confirm that, yes, Robert Procop did indeed design an engagement ring for Angelina Jolie, designed in collaboration with Brad Pitt."
Angelina was spotted wearing the luxe jewelry on her ring finger while attending the L.A. County Museum's Chinese Art collection with future husband Brad, and their son, 8-year-old Pax.
Congrats to Brad and Angelina!
