The Chops & Hops restaurant in Watkinsville, Georgia is known for creating elaborate, celebrity-named sandwiches. Last Friday, one of the employees thought it would be funny to create a sandwich based off the gruesome beating that Chris Brown dished out to Rihanna years ago. They posted a picture of a blue cheese steak-burger on their Facebook page, and after reading the caption describing the sandwich, many fans of both Chris Brown and Rihanna became highly offended.
"Well we were going to do @TimTebow today but decided to trade for a sure thing this week. Instead @chrisbrown, @rihanna and us teamed up for a award winning celebrity sandwich. Put your hands on this caribbean black and bleu sandwich. Caribbean spiced marinated sliced ribeye blackened then look out for the bleu cheese, sliced tomato, silver Lamborghini onions, and shredded romaine. Chris Brown won't beat you up for eating this unless your name starts with a R and ends with A."
Chops & Hops apologized for their insensitive caption and sandwich creation and announced that it will be stripped from the menu. They also stated that they will be donating six times the sales total of the burger to the non-profit organization that is fighting domestic violence, Project Safe Team 6.
The picture, though, is still presently posted up on Facebook.
