Earlier this week, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell rendered his decision on New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton, and suspended him for the entirety of next season due the bounties that were paid amongst the athletes and coaches of the organization.

And while that has been a rather big story within the National Football League, former defensive tackle and current ESPN NFL analyst Warren Sapp recently stated that Jeremy Shockey was the "snitch" who leaked the information about the bounty.

The two pretty much laughed it off, but now Jeremy Shockey - is who currently a free agent - wants Sapp to take back what he said because he feels it's detrimental to him finding a new team.

In an earlier phone call, Shockey had this to say:

"It was just a stupid move on his part. This came out of nowhere and now I can't even enjoy my offseason. I have a huge fan base in New Orleans. We won a Super Bowl. And now my name is being dragged through the mud.

"I don't know what he has against me, but in the end I have bigger things in my life than Warren Sapp."

Fox Sports reports that Warren Sapp could face rather harsh penalties for his comments against Jeremy Shockey.
