When Peyton Manning made his decision to sign with the Denver Broncos during the free agency period, the organization made the decision to trade their rookie quarterback Tim Tebow which started new headlines as everyone is wondering where he would end up.

Earlier today, there were reports circulating that the former Broncos quarterback was traded to the New York Jets but according to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, who first reported on the matter, there are some contractural issues that may prevent the trade from happening.

Not too long after tweeting that the trade actually went down, Schefter began to tweet new details in regards to the matter as it became available.

"Filed to ESPN (1): Denver and Jets have encountered hangup in language in Tim Tebow's contract that could nullify trade."

He also stated that if this particular Jets/Broncos trade was indeed nullified, the St. Louis Rams might be able to land Tim Tebow.

"(2) If the Tebow trade to Jets falls apart, St. Louis could wind up getting back into play. Sides sorting through details."

Schefter goes on to give possible reason behind these new developments.

"Tim Tebow has $5 million worth of recapture language, meaning Jets would have to pay back money to Denver. Jets might be unwilling. Complex."

And it seems as though the Jacksonville Jaguars faced the same issue initially in their pursuit of Tebow, an issue that has trickled down to the Jets' negotiations.

"The same money issues in Tim Tebow's contract caused complications for Jacksonville trying to complete trade. Now Jets facing them."

According to the ESPN Insider, though, the New York Jets are still willing to work out contract details in order to finalize the trade.
