It wasn't too long ago when it was reported that rapper Yelawolf was forced out of the Shady performances during the SXSW festivities due to a spleen injury.
Since then, we haven't heard much from the Alabama artist or his condition - until now - as fellow Shady Records labelmate Royce Da 5'9 says he recently spoke to Yelawolf and says he''s recovering just fine.
"I have [spoken] to him, I spoke to him, I called him and checked on him. I think he stage-dove or something like that. I don't know if people know this because Yelawolf is such a mild-mannered, laid-back kinda guy, but he gets real rowdy onstage and he doesn't mind putting his physical health in danger as well as the fans', which makes for a greater show. ... He's well, he's doing well -- He just had to cancel a couple of shows just so he could get right."
Interscope actually made a statement in regards to Yela's condition as well.
"Interscope Records recording artist Yelawolf is still recuperating from a ruptured spleen suffered earlier this month." Yelawolf was due to perform in the Shady Records showcase at the South By Southwest Music Festival in Texas on Friday but he has pulled out as he continues to recover".
It's great to hear that the artist is recuperating. Again, we wish him a speedy recovery.
