Mike D of Beastie Boys Curating an Art Show

Mike D of the Beastie Boys will be curating an art show known as Transmission L.A.: AV Club which will be taking place at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles from April 19th to May 10th.
The event, which is sponsored by Mercedes Benz, will feature New York artists that Mike D hand-picked himself while attending several art galleries in Manhattan.
Mike D, who was chosen by the director of the museum, Jeffrey Deitch, had this to say:
"I want a place where people can come and hang out. Not some button-up white walls gallery with people to match".
