Nick Cannon, 31, has just recently revealed that he has a Lupus-like autoimmune disease!
The actor, rapper, comedian, and businessman was recently hospitalized for having blood clots in his lungs and troubling kidney conditions.
Cannon recently spoke up about his condition to People magazine.
"The blood clot thing was probably the scariest because ... I've known people who have passed away from that. I thought I was getting better and then that happened, so that kind of came out of nowhere. I'm just trying to make sure I put my health first. They kind of say my autoimmune disease is – like a lupus type of thing, but no one else in my family has it. I feel blessed to be alive. If it wasn't discovered, I don't know what would have happened."
Nick Cannon, being that he is the husband of Mariah Carey and father of their twins, has now made his own health his top priority. He has stepped down from his radio show and lightened the load of his professional life so he can get his health back on track.
