Oprah Winfrey is an American media proprietor, talk show host, actress, producer and philanthropist. Winfrey is best known for her multi-award-winning talk show, which has become the highest-rated program of its kind. In 2006 Winfrey became the world's first black woman billionaire. In 2011 she launched her own television network called OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network. Many consider her the most influential woman in the world.
