Jason Kidd passed another milestone in his monumental NBA career, as he beat Michael Jordan's record for all time steals, coming second to legendary Utah Jazz baller, John Stockton. During last night's game against the Celtics Kidd had three steals against the team, setting him over his tie with Jordan at the beginning of the game. The Mavericks point guard is also second in career assists.
Head coach Rick Carlisle spoke on Kidd's achievements, saying "Listen, every week we're going to have records broken with the guys we have on this team. It's like a legends team. Jason Kidd's career has been amazing. Think about 18 years, almost two decades, of top-notch excellence."
It seems that Carlisle was right, as Dirk Nowitzki scored 26 points with season-high 16 rebounds while moving into the top 20 on the NBA career scoring list. The Mavericks took over the Celtics in last night's game, in an 89-73 victory.
