After Whitney Houston's passing there has been a lot of speculation over the current state of her daughter, Bobbi Kristina. Rumors were quick to reach the public that she was seen using narcotics right after Whitney's funeral, but thankfully those rumors have been laid to rest.
According to a source speaking on Bobbi Kristina:
"She was with the family the whole time. We all went to a restaurant we call after a funeral or home celebration, a repast, where everybody goes and sits and talks and eats. She was there, she was there yesterday, she's been with the family these last couple of days."
Despite the false rumors of Bobbi's drug use after the funeral, it is no secret that the young woman is known for partying and has done illicit substances in the past. Fearing for her granddaughter's life, grandmother Cissy Houston has stepped in to take control of things. She recently made the strong statement regarding her granddaughter, "I'll be damned if I'm burying my grandbaby."
According to a source close to the family, Cissy Houston "couldn't do nothing with Whitney and the hangers-on, moochers and enablers that sucked the life out of her. But she has the reins of this now."
Let's hope that Cissy really can get control of Bobbi Kristina and be a benefit to her life. It's hard growing up through the teenage years and transitioning into adulthood as it is. But when you add the fact that the public is watching and judging your every single move, the pressure can be undeniably overwhelming and hard for any young adult to cope with. Especially after you've lost your mother.
Let's pray for Cissy and Bobbi Kristina. It would be tragic to lose another beautiful person to something that can be prevented.
