This one is pretty wild.
A 63-year-old Texas math teacher who originally faced termination after making derogatory remarks towards a student, could come back to teach, just not at that campus.
The Independent Hearing Examiner, Jess Rickman, said the district failed to provide enough evidence to justify termination of Shirley Bunn, who had been teaching at the junior high school since 1999.
Reportedly, Bunn told a student to "Go back to Mexico!" after he kept interupting class with statements like, "I'm Mexican," meaning he wanted a Spanish-language version of the form students were filling out.
Now, maybe the kid should have handled it differently, but that teacher has no right, nor place to say such a thing. Yikes.
