For all of those who believed that Dr. Robert Neville was killed by that explosion at the end of I Am Legend, think again.
Serious discussions of a sequel to the 2007 apocalyptic sci-fi hit have evolved to the beginning step of production. Warner Bros. has made a deal with Will Smith's Overbrook Entertainment and Akiva Goldsman to begin production on the prequel. Will Smith, however, has not yet fully committed to returning to the role as Dr. Neville, until he reads and gives his approval on the script. The script is currently under development by the creative writing mind of Aresh Amel.
Keep your fingers crossed for Smith's return!
Who wouldn't love seeing him save the world from a crazed army of mutated humans once again?
