On Sunday night, Oprah asked people to tune into her titular network, especially if they have a Nielsen box. Not only was this odd, and arguably sad, it was during the second most-watched Grammys ever, bolstered by those mourning Whitney Houston.
The tweet drew huge fire from fans and critics alike, concerned with her odd antics to promote her network.
Oprah apologized on Monday for her tweet and later deleted it per Nielsen's request. "In accordance with our policies and procedures, Nielsen is reviewing this incident with our clients and we may withhold, breakout and/or make a note in the ratings...We take any violation of our policy seriously and will work with clients to resolve the situation," the Nielsen representative said.
We're not entirely sure what Oprah was thinking. What do you think she was up to?
