In a sad turn of events a 22-year-old Navy Seal was placed on life support after he accidentally shot himself in the head while showing off a pistol to a woman he met in a bar.

Frank Cali, a San Diego Police Officer, revealed he was called to a home in Pacific Beach around 2 am, after someone had called in reporting a man had shot himself in the head.

Cali said the man was showing off guns in his home to a woman he'd met at a bar and held a pistol, believed to be unloaded, to his head and pulled the trigger.

Commodore Collin P. Green, commander of Naval Special Warfare Group One, released a statement saying, "On behalf of the entire Naval Special Warfare community, we are deeply saddened by this unfortunate incident and extend both our hearts and prayers to our teammate's family during this very difficult time."
