The Chef cooked up another classic with his fifth studio album, Shaolin vs. Wu Tang, featuring ubiquitous cinema samples and minor key melodies.
Raekwon gets back to his roots of Staten Island, a.k.a. Shaolin before the Wu Tang days, which the title suggests, showing his street cred and mixing it with what he learned during the prime of the Wu.
Guests on the album include Black Thought, Busta Rhymes, Ghostface Killah, GZA, Inspectah Deck, Lloyd Banks, Method Man, and Nas, among others. The album debuted at number 12 on the Billboard 200 chart, selling 29,000 in its first week.
