War in Iraq Declared "Officially Over"

The United States military finally declared an end to their mission in Iraq, but vowing to still keep a close eye on any potential terrorist threats.

Over the course of nine years the war cost $800 billion, over 4,000 troops and countless Iraqi's were killed, but Defense Secretary Leon Panetta says it was purposeful.

"To be sure, the cost was high — in blood and treasure for the United States and also for the Iraqi people. But those lives have not been lost in vain."

President Obama promised he would bring the troops home in his 2008 campaign, which he followed through with. Now, thousands of families will be getting the Christmas present that no money could buy.

They won't and U know why?! Cuz they will be in another country. They might leave Iraq but they won't come home soon. Obama never said anything about them coming home, right?! He just said, they are going to leave Iraq, so that left out wherever they are going next.......

i dont believe there will ever be true democracy in iraq,all these soldiers who lost there lives for people that hate the u. s ,where were the iraqi people ,hiding and waiting for us to leave now they will blame us for there problems if they truly wanted freedom they not us should have overthrown suddam then they can ask for help

Listen dumbass, imagine someone invades your country, takes away all your money, takes away your job and treats you like a terrorist in your own country, what U expect??? Your government took away the people's rights and killed over 100.000's innocent iraqi people (women & children included), no wonder they hate the US. Stay da fuck out of other countries and people won't hate you, simple as that! This was never about freedom & democracy but about stealing resources and war - military companies make billions each year and the senat just gave a pass for over 600+ billions for next year.. If you don't know shit, please just STFU!!!
