The Knicks acquired Tyson Chandler in a deal and as a fan one would be ecstatic to know that Stoudemire will be getting some additional help with gaurding centers. This would allow him to focus on his other key techniques and skill.

However, it seems the Knicks were willing to give up their asset in a deal to get Chris Paul. A source reveals, that the Hornets rejected a deal to trade Stoudemire for their star player.

This could be in part for the $84 million, four year contract that Amar'e has remaining that is insurable. Or it could be in that the Hornets were receiving some many other great offers in an attempt for teams to acquire Chris Paul.
