In 2009 Freeway was introduced into the Cash Money family. The Philidelphia rapper worked with Lil Wayne on his The Carter III album after being introduced to Birdman through his friend Ceelo. Freeway split with Jay-Z's Roc-A-Fella, but says that there were no hard feelings in the move. Freeway is currently working on his new album with Cash Money along with starting his own label as a joint venture called, Free Money Records.
