Known as "The Ivory Queen of Soul" Teena had a strong following before signing to Cash Money in 2004. After a 14-year hiatus from the idustry, Teena made a come back with La Dona, which went certified gold. The album featured chart topper "I'm Still in Love," which was nominated for a Grammy in 2004. Teena followed up her success with 2006's Sapphire, where she reunited with Smokey Robinson on "Ooh Wee." After receiving praise and success on her two albums, Teena parted ways in 2006.
